Robin Rae Slikker works diligently with families, business owners, and professional advisors to develop customized estate plans to ensure a smooth and optimal transition of assets to future generations.
Prior to her transition to Trust and Estate Law, Robin worked as a law clerk in both private practice and government agencies. Robin clerked with the Duggan Wynn Law Firm, assisting with probate and estate planning cases, and she spent her first year after graduation as a law clerk to the Honorable Irvin G. Condon at the Charleston County Probate Court. Her last position was as an Associate with the Trust and Estate Group for Saxton & Stump.
She has found trust and estate work to be a perfect fit, as she truly enjoys helping survivors navigate the difficult time following a death, as well as helping families protect their loved ones through realistic risk-benefit analysis and application of the law to each unique circumstance. Fluent in Spanish, Robin also worked as a legal interpreter, oral and written, for Charleston Pro-Bono Legal Services.
In anticipation of going to law school, Robin spent nearly two decades of successful business experience, working in management roles that regularly brought her into contact with lawyers concerning workers' compensation, client contracts, employment contracts, and noncompete agreements. She also headed budgets, negotiated contracts, obtained and maintained proper licensing with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
She is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the Charleston County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Robin is a graduate of the Charleston School of Law, and is pursuing her LL.M. degree in Taxation.
Robin lives in Charleston SC with her husband, Nick, and "a houseful of dogs." She has three adult children living in all parts of the world. Both she and her husband are active members and volunteers at their local church.

Probate court forms
Generic forms are available at the S.C. Judicial website. Click on "Probate" in the drop-down list.
The Charleston County Probate Court's website also has these forms available online, in both Word and PDF format.
In addition to the forms, each website has a wealth of additional information to assist both lawyers and individuals who are serving as Personal Representative.
The S.C. Judicial website also offers excellent instructional videos that explain the three key stages of the estate administration process - opening the estate, administering the estate, including preparation of the Inventory and Appraisement, and closing the estate.
